In some ways it’s a good thing we didn’t make the champions league last season, Moyes would have absolutely bricked it if we had been drawn in a group with either Madrid of Munich in it.

2 first half goals all season, an absolutely pathetic stat, is all down to the manager and his boring bollocks, safety first, shut out the opposition, negative dinosaur tactics.

We want to see a team that competes and attacks from the start. If Liverpool had more luck in the first half on Wednesday they would have put 4 past us and it would have been game over.

The pressure on Monday night is massive now. Anything other than a half time lead and the heat will be massively on second half. If we conspire to lose the game, the Moyes out energy will gather apace.

Second half they took off 2 players that were absolutely destroying us in midfield and up front.

Don't be fooled by a few half chances as they tried to see out the game.

Nobody was worried about Anderlecht when we started taking off players and putting in replacements in odd positions all over the pitch coz we were in control. Even the last minute penalty didn't make us think they had a good second half. We were toying with them. Just like Liverpool were keeping us as arms length on Weds.

It actually annoyed me how all everyone outside of the game is talking about is our spirited second half performance as it glosses over our shit first half performance.

You don't deserve anything if you only play for 45 minutes which is becoming a habit of ours under Moyes.

Of course there are positives to take from the game - the second half shows that we are not a shit team, we have some good players and we can create chances and get into good positions, but the worrying thing is that it shows that there is either an attitude or a tactical problem if we are incapable of doing this until the second half of a game.

2 first half goals all season tells half the story.

As per fucking usual the fucking scouse scum start trying to justify it by say "If yoo sing der songs about Hillsborough and Sean Cox thats the presents you get" Obviously no proof whatsoever, again, just the same old line trotted out whenever they do anything scummy. They are the biggest cunts as fans and human beings that you could ever come across. I still remember back sometime in the late 70's and half a dozen walked into The Black Lion in Plaistow, the one with the boys boxing club next door, and started mouthing off in the lower bar. Oops. Difficult to mouth off minus a number of teeth as a few of them found. Not by me I hasten to add.

You know what is the hard watch about the video is not the lad getting a shoeing… is that you got numerous scouse just walking past ignoring the shit… not one person stepping in trying to calm it down… like to think that at our place people would step in no matter if the lad had been a cunt previously and maybe deserved a kicking (who knows??)… anyway we know what it’s like up there… will never change…

Don’t know if it was posted here already. One young West Ham lad jumped on by about 15 little scouse rats.

Spot on. We have 4 or so players in the team each week who are not at the level of passing quality needed. We have too many of that type in the squad. It tends to be the same players namely, Soucek, Coufal, Fornals, Johnson, Bowen ( this season anyway ), Antonio, Benrahma, Cresswell in that order who give it away too cheaply with either a miscontrol ( bounces off shin etc.) or more likely a poor pass or flick to no one.

Now it also has to be in part down to the training / drills we do but suspect several of these players simply do not have the technical quality needed. Ok, you can have a few but we have too many that struggle with passing at pace and need to replace them.

Moyes is not the long term answer but we need to be careful choosing the next manager. One who will bring a different philosophy and long term strategy but one that has shown it works and ideally at more than one club. Not too many of them around so while I and others might not Moyes we need to be careful and get the right man. Our history on manager selection is pitiful so while Moyes is not the answer he is probably a good bet to keep us out of relegation troubles and even with the investment we have had, we could get the appointment wrong as we did with Pellegrini and be worse off.

Pochettino would be one worth a shot with but suspect he has loftier ambitions. Maybe one of the Germans that seem to be doing well like Frank? Other than that, I start to scratch me head a bit.

There were so many times we would win the ball back and or/ have the ball and we would just continually pass it back and play safe. I understand about the importance of keeping possession but it happened so frequently!

Only around the last 15/20 did we find our bollocks. Hugely frustrating to see them on the ropes but we didn't take our chances and that's all there is to it!

“Rice was absolute class last night, christ knows how good he'd look in a team that dominates other teams”

You’ll know this time next year more than likely.

I can’t see the likes of paqueta and scamacca wanting to stay here long either, once they realize they are the token attackers in a defensive holding outfit. How long before one of them does a Payet on us?

I'm fucking sick of Moyes. Gutless, dismal fucking game plan in the first half then found his bollocks too late to get anything out of the game in the second. I'm proper sick of the miserable fucking cunt. What's the point of these tactics? Do we not want to win? We are shit to watch and have scored TWO fucking first half goals all season in the league, the worst in the Prem. That's just fucking embarrassing. Fucking get rid of this CUNT.

Moyes is probably satisfied on some level that despite losing it was only 1-0 away at Liverpool and our second half performance was good. We kept it “respectable”.

It seems to be his approach this season. Grind it out to half time and take stock. If we’re level we Grind it out to 75 mins then throw a sub or two on. If we’re behind we go for it a bit more.

Dismal approach to game management with the talent at our disposal.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
I still say our main problem is our short range passing. Quite often, the player who should be recieving the ball or run on to it has to work to control it or we simply give the ball away. And we're not talking about landing the ball on a tanner from 60 yards, far to oftenn, simple 10 or15 yard passes go nowhere and our posession is lost. One simple rule of football is that when you have the ball the opposition cant hurt you. This is such a basic fault in much of our play and is at the root of many of our problems.

First half was very much as predicted on this thread, felt sorry for Scamacca as he had absolutely nothing to work with. 2nd half was much better and in the last quarter we certainly gave them more to think about than City did on Sunday. I just hope on Monday we start on the front foot against Bournemouth ffs!

Had a call out last night so was watching the game in between calls/editing live files etc... thought we played OK... deserved a draw for 2nd half performance ... and some block/tackle that was by Milner... come from nowhere...

The Notts Forrest Game, Chelsea, Southampton and Liverpool have all been deeply frustrating because of the lack of scoring. Players that were scoring are no where near scoring now.
Someone needs to suss this out and quick.

same old shit, Moyes picks the wrong side. Sets up not to lose and does it anyway. Good time to play Liverpool etc and they have habit of conceeding first this season......Brighton went 2-0 up there the other week and we set up the way we did. Just so so poor from Moyes, same old negative shit. Same old shit playing Fornals LW and Soucek in the middle.

Didnt expect much but expected more than that first half showing, probs our worst half this season. Couldnt string 2 passes together. Johnson and Fornals terrible. Scamacca isolated. Didnt deserve to go in 1-1 but have to convert the pen. Penalties seem to be our achillies heel last few years, anyone missed more than us? We need a pen taker

2nd half much better, not sure if that was down to us or Klopp taking off Nunez and Thiago who was running the show. First half we simply didnt press him and Henderson, thats where the goal came from too. Once he got on Benrahma and Antonio shock horror we started to retain more of the ball and create chances. Scamacca had a mare but if you play him you have to give him service and first half set up to just isolate him

With the chances created could of nicked a point but yet again feels like another missed opportunity. Moyes has always over achieved with the squad but at the moment seems like he is under achieving and holding us back

Under David Moyes, in 19 away games against the Top Cunt 6, West Ham have gained 2 points.

2 points from 57 available.

Yeah, lacked a bit of luck last night (think we used all our luck up against Wolves & Fulham) but there is a trend that's hard to ignore.

I think the best way to try and change it is to do EXACTLY THE SAME FUCKING THING EVERY TIME AND START THE GAMES ON THE BACK FOOT WITH 10 MEN BEHIND THE BALL, as it's early worked a treat for Moysie.
